Kiki's House

"I'm making bacon and eggs, want some?" She put some more bacon on the stove. "So did you sleep well, Grandpa?"

"I had a good sleep. Elbows off the table, Kitsune! Damn Fox has got no manners..." Grandpa said as he sat down.

"Well Grandpa, what kind of chores do yyou have for us today?" She dished out 3 plates of food and placed them on the table.

"Welll, I need to get more supplies. Kitsune will take you to Shiroyoto." He started eating his breakfast.

"Okay, so today will be a day with little work." She sat down and started to eat her breakfast. "What's going on? Kitsune was up early and Kiki hasn't made a joke about me being old. Did I miss something?"

"No Grandpa. I'm worried about where you're sending us, though. From what I've heard, it's going to be near the front lines. I've heard they're going to fortify the town with garrisons from other villages," He looked at Kiki, "We might run into Leon again."

"Well... That would definately make things interesting." Grandpa looked at Kitsune. "I'm sure you guys will be fine. I trust you to protect her." Grandpa didn't really seem to care that Kitsune was in danger just as much as Kiki was. Luckily Kiki had faith that Kitsune was strong enough to protect the both of them. "Well than Kitsune we should hurry up and eat. We have a long trip a head of us."

Kitsune glanced at Grandpa, "You're right, Kiki. I'm going to sharpen my blade, then we can go. After we're done eating, as you said."

Kiki quickly ate her breakfast and got ready to travel to Shiro yoto with Kitsune.

Kitsune stood outside the shop waitin for Kiki. "Hurry up!" He said into the doorway.

She ran down the stairs tripping over her own feet trying to hurry. She finally made it outside. "Okay I'm ready. Sorry for keeping you waiting." She aid as she threw a backpack over her shoulders and smiling.

Kitsune quickly kissed her and asked, "Bring a weapon?"

She smacked her head. "Dammit, I knew I forgot something...I'll be right back." She said as she ran back into the shop to borrow a weapon from grandpa. She took a large sword. "Thanks grandpa. I'll take this one." Grandpa nodded and woshed her luck on her trip. She stepped outside again. "Back sorry about that... Are you ready?"

Kitsune put his sun hat on and said, "Ready as I'll ever be. Let us be on our way."

She started walking towards Shiroyoto. "So how long do you think it will take us? Shiroyoto is pretty far..." She said as she looked up at the sky.

Kitsune glanced at her from under the brim of his wide hat. "It'll take us at least two days, barring no interruptions." He looked at the ground and stopped walking.

She stopped a few steps ahead of him. "What's up Kitsu?" She said concerned.

"I smell..." He drew his Katana.

Kiki drew her sword. "What do you smell?" 'Running into trouble already? Usually we have problems when we're fartehr away from the village...'

"Bandits, they have poisoned blades..." He entered his fighting stance.

Kiki prepared herself to defend herself. "Can you tell how many there are?"

"At most three..." Kitsune moved closer to Kiki. "I hope you remember what I taught you..."

She smiled at him. "Of course how could I forget?"

Nana was travelling from village to village looking for Daisuke. "Where is that coward?" While walking towards Osami she saw a young girl that seemed to give off the same power as Daisuke. "Hmm... Found you..." She said as she went into hiding and followed the girl and the fox boy.
