Nana's First Day

Nana walked into her classroom.
'So this is where I'll be teaching students from now on...
She took a seat in the teacher's seat and rested her feet on the desk.
"I like it this quiet."

Kano opened the door and walked into the room.
"I don't appreciate it when my sister just runs off and doesn't talk to me. I thought we were getting close!"

"And there goes the silence..."
Nana looked Kano.
"We are getting close, but it's going to take more than a day to heal wounds that have been there for so many years."

"I'm sorry I let my whole family down, OK?! In all honesty, I'd rather have stayed. Daisuke offered me the easy way, and I took it. I got the clan sword, but now they're all dead. My former best friend hates me and everywhere I go people take pot shots at me or call the guards. I would've expected you to understand, but....I guess not. See you around, Nana."
He turned and exited the room.

Nana sighed and walked over to Kano.
"I do understand, it's just... I dunno, I guess I'm not used to having you in my good books..."

"Nobody is. I've gotta go settle some debts. I'll be back, maybe...."
Kano walked down the hall and left the building.

((NOOOO!!! You're NOT allowed to leave))

Kano turned at Nana's voice and walked back into the school.
"What?"

"Huh? I think that you're hearing voices again you crazy wolf."
She laughed a little showing that she was just joking.
"Where are you off to?"

" I have to settle some debts. There are these people.....They did some bad things-with my help-so I'm gonna go decapitate them."
Kano smiled.
"This will be the last time I kill out of revenge. I'm planning on reforming and asking for a cushy job here. And I get to be around my little sister!"
He ran up to her and hugged her, lifting her off the ground.

"Gah."
She gasped for air.
"Can you put me down."

"Uh, sorry. My bad."
Kano put Nana down, grinning.
"So, I'll stick around for a small bit, if you want me to."

"Well, it's up to you. If you have something else to do you should go do that."
She walked to her desk and started planning out what she would teach first.

Kano followed her.
"You don't seem to care that I'm going to Kuroyoto by myself. Even though I can more than handle it. Maybe. I love you, little sister. Hope I make it back, OK?"

She looked up from her papers and sighed.
"Kano, you and I both know that you can handle it, that's why I'm not worried."
She looked back at her papers and started writing.
"I love you too Kano."

Warui strolled into the room.
"I'm your student. Name's Warui."
'I hope to god she doesn't recognize me...'

Nana noticed the fox anthro's face. She twitched a little. She took a deep breath in, trying to not flip out at him. She forced a smile upon her face and greeted him kindly.
"Welcome. I'm your sensei Nana."

'Oh well...I tried'
Warui smiled and bowed formally.
"What shall I be learning today?"

She looked around at the very empty classroom.
"You're my only student? This will be easier then I thought. To be quite truthful I haven't had much time to prepare a lesson so..."
She walked over to a cupboard and pulled out a very old, very dusty text book.
"Read this."

"What the hell is this? Worm food?"
Warui blew the dust off the book and it almost choked him.
"Thank you, Sensei."
He started to read quietly.

'He's... Behaving? He didn't seem like the type who would behave the last time I met him...'
She walked over to Warui and sat down in the desk beside him.
"Are you okay?"

"...What? Are you talking to me?"
Warui glanced around the room, seeing noone else. He looked Nana in the eyes.
"Someone dear to me has left..."
Warui attempted to continue working.

"Do... Do you want to talk about it?"
She wasn't very good at this type of stuff. Emotional conversations always made her nervous.

"No not really..."
Warui jotted a bunch of notes on a sheet of paper. Upon close inspection, they were formulas to enhance magic and to use less power while doing so.

"Uh, okay."
She went back to her desk and started organmizing future lessons so Warui wouldn't have to read the worm food.
